About
Sales moved to messaging. The tools did not.
Unibox is built in Vancouver, Canada, for teams selling in messaging-first markets.
The problem we kept seeing
Every serious sales tool assumes the conversation happens over email. In most of the world it does not. Buyers reply on WhatsApp and answer email last — if at all.
That one fact breaks the category. CRMs assume the conversation lives somewhere they can see. Shared inboxes assume it is email. WhatsApp platforms assume you are support, so they auto-close a thread when it goes quiet — the exact opposite of what a salesperson needs, because a quiet lead is a follow-up, not a resolved ticket.
So teams do the obvious thing. They sell from a personal phone and update the CRM on Friday, from memory. The pipeline becomes fiction, and everyone knows it.
What we believe
The conversation is the record. Not a summary of it typed in afterwards — the thing itself. If the pipeline is built from what was actually said, nobody has to maintain it, because there is nothing left to type.
Meet people where they already are. We do not ask your buyers to install anything or change how they reach you. Connecting WhatsApp takes a QR scan, not a Business API application and a template review.
Say the hard part out loud. Our WhatsApp connection carries a real risk to your number: WhatsApp does not permit unofficial clients and can ban one that uses them. We put that in the FAQ on our home page and in section 5 of our terms, where you can read it before you scan anything, rather than in an apology afterwards. We would rather lose a signup than win an angry customer.
Where we are
We are early. There is no wall of customer logos on our site because that would not be true yet, and you would find out. What exists is a product we use ourselves and a roadmap we will not pad.
Unibox is a small independent team in Vancouver, British Columbia, building for teams across the Americas. We are not venture-funded, which means we answer to the people paying us rather than to a growth curve.
Talk to us
The fastest way to reach a person is [email protected]. It is read by someone who builds the product, not a queue.
